The Kitchen was part of a much larger refurbishment for the Client who was renovating an old Farmhouse.  There was a lot of major structural work carried out to remove the old fire place and enlarge the kitchen space.  The Client wanted a kitchen that was inviting and functional, but retained the characteristics of the Farmhouse whilst modernising the look.  A mixture of painted Cream and solid Oak shaker doors were used on the units.  The ceramic sink was placed under the oak plate rack and M-Stone Quartz worktops were used around the outside of the kitchen, whilst a solid Oak worktop was used over the units of the island.  We utilised the waste worktop material from the sink cut out by polishing the edges and using it as the splashback for the sink.  The island housed extra cupboards and a large drawer pack (not visible from photographs).  A Stoves 1100 Induction Range Cooker was placed into the new chimney breast, encased by the original fire surround, after it had been sand blasted and repainted.
