The client wanted everything stripped and the archway entrance enlarged for a more open plan living. We encountered damp problems under the floor which were more important to put right prior to fitting the kitchen. We redesigned the layout to clear worktop space in the small kitchen, which is why we wall mounted the microwave. The client wanted a light easy to maintain door design with a country feel, a woodgrain laminate worktop was used with light oak matching door handles. To keep things light we had LED wall unit lighting and incorporated this into the window flyover.
