CAN I REPLACE MY KITCHEN DOORS INSTEAD OF MY WHOLE KITCHEN?

When looking to renovate your kitchen in suffolk and surrounding area, a single opportunity to save money, time and resources can make a huge difference.

At Anderson Kitchens and Bathrooms (AKB), we are always looking for ways to save you money while delivering a final product that will have you smiling from ear to ear.

One way in which we consistently help our customers out is by replacing their existing kitchen doors, as opposed to replacing the whole kitchen.

This is largely dependent on the size of the existing doors on your kitchen cabinets and the condition of the existing cabinets, but most cabinet doors are a standard size — which keeps the procedure simple.

If your cabinets are in poor condition or a non-standard size, a whole new kitchen might be the better option.

However, at AKB, we have access to hundreds of different door styles which we can order in bespoke sizes. Typically, this might take two to three weeks, though this may extend up to six weeks for more specific door types.

Will the replacement door colour match the side panels?

We offer the option to buy colour-matched base or unit end panels. In the case where end panels are not practical, we also offer cabinet units in coordinating colours, so that your kitchen aesthetic always stays up to scratch.

Will I need new door hinges?

Often, new hinges are not required for cabinet door replacements, as we can use the existing hinge and hinge plate positions for a straight swap. The skilled fitters we use will be able to drill and fit the new doors to the existing fixtures. In the event that new soft close hinges are required, we can provide them too.

Can I change a standard single door / double door unit to a drawer unit?

Yes! This is a common and practical switch that we offer. Typically, our conversion consists of 2, 3, 4 or 5 drawer units, up to 1,000 mm wide.

If I change my kitchen doors, do I need to change my plinth/kickboard?

If you wish to change your plinth to match the colour of your new cabinet doors, we offer a colour-matched kickboard (usually 150 mm high).

Can I change my cornice/pelmet to match my new kitchen doors?

Absolutely. There are often two styles to choose from for both.
